Basketweave Anniversary Cake
I love doing the basketweave design on the sides of a cake, you don't have to worry about getting your icing underneath smooth! I used an airbrush machine for the flowers. I think it turned out quite nice.

Lots of practice writing, if you have to at first, use a toothpick and then cover your writing with icing
Okay, first off, excellent tip about the writing!!! I'll definately give that a try! Second, your basketweave is perfect. I haven't practiced basketweave in years! I love doing cornelli lace on the sides of cakes and now I'll have to try the BW! Oh yeah, and this cake is gorgeous!!!!
