Pooh Honey Tree Cake
this is my third real cake - no charge of course (must get some more practice in first!) NO EGGS, NO NUTS, NO DAIRY in anything on this cake...chocolate "wacky cake" with raspberry, blackberry & strawberry filling, my own buttercream with fondant flowers, hills and fence...i didn't try to "smooth" the blue sky, thought it would look more realistic! let's hope the birthday girl likes it - she's turning two!

thanks! the wire is floral paddle wire, i just wrapped it around a wooden spoon handle and i was going to do fondant bees, but with the little girl being allergic to egg, i didn't know what to stick the wings on with, so i went with those fuzzy pompom things and coloured them and made paper wings (totally NOT edible!!!! :oops: )

I forgot to ask about the springs with the bees. Did you make fondant bees? The spring is coiled wire from craft store?
