Pink Roses For Church Auction on Cake Central

I made this as a donation for our annual Church auction fund-raiser. It is a design from a Wilton magazine. All icing is buttercream.

I love this cake. I wanted to make it from the moment I seen it on the cover of the cake book. You did an excellent job! ;-D I like that you made bc roses vs. royal roses.

So....you make cakes for wiltons yearbooks?!?!?! It looks just like that pic!!! There is no way those roses are icing!!! Bc at that!!! WOW!! They're great!!!! I love the color and your leaves are perfect, too!!!!

Thank you so much you all! I've only made royal icing roses one time and never again. I liked them, but my MIL informed me that you can make BC roses just as pretty as RI roses and be able to "cut" through them. I've made BC roses ever since. Just let them sit to dry a few hours and they're good to go (with a flower scissorsl)! Let them dry a day or two and you can pick them up by hand.

I have the book right in front me and WOW! It's like a "copy and paste". Good job! Did you use the Wilton's buttercream recipe for the roses?
