Ivory & Green

Ivory & Green on Cake Central

This is my first time trying to make an ivory color. I think it turned out okay, only took my a couple of tries - ha ha - and a lot of left over ivory color!

Everything's buttercream, except the green is real ribbon. I was wanting to do the green in fondant, but since is for our store display, it would just fade, so I thought I'd go easy on myself this time.

no special ribbon - i just spread buttercream over the entire back of the ribbon so it bleeds through on the whole thing instead of in spots.

Very nice work on the smooth BC icing and I love your piping. I am going to be doing a cake with brown ribbon and was wondering how to protect it. I'll give the BC a practice try and see what happens. Again, Beautiful Cake!!
