Baby Shower For A Girl
A baby shower cake I did for a friend. I got to try some things I hadn't done before. And naturally, learned some things not to do! The board is covered in MMF Fondant with polka dots cut out and filled in with a contrasting circle. That was fun to do. I also did it with the butterfly wings. I need practice on butterfly bodies, though. Iced in buttercream with MMF accents.
Absolutely adorable. I wish I had of seen this cake about a month ago. I had to do a butterfly baby shower cake too only lavendar and yellow. I LOVE this cake. SOOOOOO much cuter than butterfly cake.
adorable-great job and I love the polka dots and butterflies!
So pink and girly. Your handwriting is fabulous and even on the Side of the cake. Very pretty
Very pretty cake!
Oh it's just darling!!!! I don't see how you could have done any better. Great job for trying out new things. I also agree with Rambo, your cake writing is just BEAUTIFUL. I have the worst time with that. Any tips? LOL
A tip I got from this site as a matter of fact. I wrote this out on computer paper, or you can print it on your computer with a fun font, then put the paper on a piece of styrofoam and punch holes with a toothpick. It will push the paper out on the other side enough to make an impression on the crusted buttercream. After I got done, I wished I would have done it in a bit darker lavender, but oh well. Thank you all for your kind comments.
So cute! Love the bow!
