Ballerina Birthday Cake
I got this idea from a couple CCers, but the gumpaste ballet slipper was way more difficult than I assumed. The cake is covered in buttercream.

It looks good! I thought the slippers were a little bit difficult to hold and shape while the GP was still soft too (when I made them). But I think it kind of looks like the slippers have been worn. Real ballet slippers get a little bit "worn" looking and actually mold a little bit to the shape of the foot. So to me they just look more realistic.
