The sky was painted by hand and a light green was painted for the ground. The tree top and black borders are fondant. The banner, towers and flags are gumpaste. The corner flowers and borders are royal icing. The rest of the picture is BC. I'm not sure how much time I put into it as I was working on three cakes simultaneously.
I love the border, a wonderful break from shells etc. Now I need to go look at all my needlepoint for border designs!
