First Official Wedding Cake!!

First Official Wedding Cake!! on Cake Central

I did this cake for a friends sister and wasn't nervous until I started to work on it and realized the preasure of wanting to please the bride, mother of the bride etc.... Everyone was very pleased with it and I got a ton of compliments. It gave me needed confidence to move forward with more cakes!

Absolutely Beautiful! "Amazing" was the first thing out of my mouth when I opened the picture. I cant wait to see the ones to follow!

Okay! I had to look at that for a few minutes...then I had to close my mouth...that is one BEAUTIFUL cake.

Wow, thank's for all the uplifting comments. To do the monogram I used an icing mix that you can buy from sugarveil.com. I printed out the lettering that I wanted from my computer and then put greased parchment paper over and piped the lettering. A couple hours to a day later they will be dry yet still flexible so they will form to the shap of your cake and they aren't breakable like royal icing. Then I cut our a fondant plaque, stuck the letters on and put it on the cake!
