Terracotta Pot Of Roses
This cake was made for a friend of mine who loves marzipan, and does not like fondant. That meant that the roses could not be made very delicate, and they became quite heavy, and began to bend. Overall I was happy although later a strange bulge suddenly began to appear on one side, although I had dowelled the cake well!
I tried to make the pot look like a handmade terracotta pot, with the pinched, fluted edge like we get here in India... Maybe succeeded too well... it looks very handmade and far from perfect!
you did a great job!! the flowers are very pretty!
