Goth Fairy
Created for the Gothic Art Collaboration, my goth fairy is made of modeling chocolate on a wire armature, dress and hair are fondant, wings are gelatin and cake lace, the skull is modeling chocolate over styrofoam and the flowers are gum paste. The piece is 16 inches tall.
So Incredibly Beautiful, Sandra!!!
Your attention to detail is beyond amazing!
Thank you for sharing her.
P.S. I also Love the detail of the gold tooth on the skull......lol
Spookily beautiful, your hands make everything look real! Or does she live in your garden? Awesome my friend!!!
I absolutely love all of your work! ❤️
AMAZING!!!
Thank you so much for you kind words, Christie! You are the only person who has commented on the gold tooth and it was one of my favorite touches, lol.
Thank you, sweet Regis! I have been telling people that Mike found her in the woods beside the house, lol.
Thank you both for such sweet words, dear bvwilliams and Evy911!
Another stunning piece Sandra!!! You’re fairy, although supposedly goth, is really actually very enchanting. Skull is definitely creepy tho.
Thanks, June! I found two pictures from which I took inspiration. The fairies were quite different, but both were sitting on skulls. My fairy looks like neither of them, but both of them were very pretty.
Beautifull!! So many perfect details!
Wonderful Sandra, your creativity knows no boundaries!
Thank you Mariolakariola and Maureen for your kind compliments!
Wow! My new favorite! I just love the gelatin wings, really sets it off. Such a pretty fairy.
Mike found what in the garden? I think I'll start contact tracing him if I was you!!!
Thank you so much, rdevon! This is the second time I've made fairy wings using gelatin and it is suprising how easy it is. First time I made an elaborate wire frame, which was super hard (they are on the Frog Fairy in my photo album), but this time, I used only three support wires and piped all of the other compartments with cake lace. Soooo much easier and worked perfectly.
Haha, Regis! Yes, he found the fairy in the woods and brought her home, skull and all.
Super cute! I love it!
Thanks, JujusnJimmies!
Wow!! I look at this and it just gives me inspiration. It’s beautiful and looks so realistic. Amazing work
Thank you for such a nice compliment, Ybird! If you decide to give it a go, I will be happy to assist in any way that I can.
This is freaking fantastic! I love it!
Thank you for the sweet words, ThatCakeDude42!
It may not be quite my cup of tea, but I can appreciate your stunning piece of art. Both modelling and flowers, wonderful!
Thank you Nelka! The subject (Gothic Art) is not my favorite either, but it was the brief for the collaboration.
