Gooseberry Meringue Gateau
A tangy-sweet cake for Father's Day. Layers of genoise cake filled with rum-almond paste and gooseberry curd. Topped with gooseberries in syrup and torched Italian meringue. Decorated with gooseberries, almonds and French macarons. My beloved husband had a blast!

Oh my, yes! It sounds wonderful! I love cakes that incorporate a lot of fruit, the more the better.

Thanks ladies you are all very sweet! As I said in the other forum, my arms are all raggedy, full of scratches... It seems that i fought a cat in order to get the gooseberries out of the thorny bushes...It was worth it!
