Floral Rum Bundt

Cake is a rum cake which everyone raves about. Traditionally it is cooked in a bundt pan but I wanted to 'pretty it up' for a lunch with friends so I added a wreath of buttercream peonies to the top.

For those wondering about the cake itself, I use ‘Almost Tortuga Rum Cake’ recipe. Google and you will find it. Two things though, my special addition is cinnamon. I add to taste but probably use around 1.5 tsp to 1tbsp. Also, search hard and find the rum listed. It’s hard to get but worth it. If you absolutely cannot find it, you should be picking a clear vanilla rum. When I last subbed I even comped the alcohol content in the glaze.

Dear Anyamom... thanks for the sweet message and the recipe! It looks so yummy, but the flowers made the perfect eye catching! I'll try the recipe. It seems perfect for our coming wedding anniversary... of course after we put the children in bed early ;) THAAAAANKS!
