I just did this one about 2 hours ago, already picked up and on its way to reception. Had to do a strange combo of layers, the guest count kept going up after I had already baked sheet cakes, so this is what I came up with.  Wasn't sure if there would be a topper ( never called me back about that) so I left room for it if they had one. I like it without.

Ah my love a cornelli:)  As usual your work is so well done.

Thank you kakeladi. I like doing cornelli, it helps when the icing is not as smooth as I want. They wanted a "old fashion" look, the ruffle drape &  lace I thought would work for that.

It is just beautiful!  I like the unusual configuration of tiers and always love the Cornelli lace!
