i baked 2 cakes and 9 inch pans, stacked them and iced them with homemade buttercream. Used blue Americolor food gel to dye the icing blue. i cut out the basketball and NYK lettering by hand with handmade marshmallow fondant. i then painted on the black americolor gel for the lettering and orange for the basketball. for the basketball hoop along the cake i made marshmallow fondant and rolled it out and laced it across the sides.
