That is so cool! How are the tiers supported? Is there a rod running through the center? Love the carriage! Did you make that too?

Hi. Thank you very much. The bottom tier was (7) 8 inch rounds, doubled. On the bottom layer, we used plastic tubes for support. Once the top layer was put on, a carefully measured wooden dowel was driven down all four layers into the drum. Once all of the 8-inch rounds were placed on the drum, round pipes were placed in between the cakes. The other tiers had wooden dowels driven through two to three tiers together. Yes we did make the carriage as well. :-)

The rhinestone (styro) where placed inbetween for support on every level.  Thank you  coffee lover.  I have to say, this installation went smoother than others. What was so bad was the temperature of the venue was 80+.
