I had the pleasure of being a part of the Carnival Cakers. The last photo was my inspiration. When I first saw it I knew I wanted to attempt my first bust cake so I searched the internet on how to do a bust. I came across a tutorial on using a styrofoam head on top of a single tiered cake.I thought that was ingenious and tried my hand at that. I also tried using gold leaf for the very first time.

I also took this cake to the National Capital Area Cake Show last weekend and received 2nd place in the Semi Professional division.
