Thank you all so much for your kind comments! My dad is the mastermind behind this working fireplace! Its made of gingerbread and he created the bricks by scoring the cookie with a rotary drill then adding mortar with thinned royal icing. I made the stockings from gumpaste and filled them with various Christmas sprinkles and quins. I have a small video of the fireplace on my blog if you'd like to see it in action!
