Was inspired by a Lori Hutchinson class, so tried to make a cake based on my own wedding dress. Was a disaster. Fondant cracked, dented, air bubbles, and elephant skin. Was embarrassed to give it away. Fortunately underexposing the photo shot hides a lot of the mistakes. I learned a couple of new things though - how to paint with luster dust and that orange extract works as well as lemon extract (for when you drop the lemon extract bottle on tile floor, you know).
