Color Me Hoppy

I had this idea for our Easter cake this year.. a coloring book coming to life.. My kids adored it!! I started with my backdrop. I used a cake board, covered it in fondant, and lightly lined in my picture. When I was satisfied with it (the bunny was out of proportion for a while:( ), I traced all my lines with black edible marker. I then painted it all in with food coloring. I attached identical fondant pieces to a couple of the flowers, 1 ear, and a butterfly, to have them pop out. His arm is attached with a toothpick on the board. I made a round cake and carved it for the egg, iced, and wrapped in fondant. Easter eggs and tulips are cake pops. Tiny cutters were used, that I then traced again with black for decorating the eggs, I had a lot of fun making this cake!! More pictures of the process on my Facebook page.
