This is a cake I made for Cake Masters May edition Magazine. Was so honoured, thrilled and excited to be involved, not to mention proud. It was all hand painted by me with accents of sugar flowers too. Blodeuwedd (meaning Flower face) is based on Welsh Legend, where she was made from flowers by 2 Magicians so that she could marry a man who could not marry a human wife. She had an affair with another man while her husband was away on business and she was turned into an owl as it is the most hated bird by other birds. Very tragic yet romantic story. I really enjoyed making this cake as I love painting.
