Thank you! I curved the thick gumpaste pieces over various tubes, like from inside aluminum foil, and various other plastic tubes I had. I had no definite plan in constructing the castle. The pieces would stand up somewhat on their own so I just played around until I liked the look. Then each piece was glued to another with white chocolate. It dries pretty quickly and holds strong.
They are about 1/2" x 1". I got them at Michaels in the wedding department, but I've seen them at Joanns also (and online at Walmart). Search for "mini party lights battery operated."
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Would you mind sharing how you curved your gumpaste for the castle's sides? Also how is that castle standing?
