3D Topsy Turvy Food Cake
First up fellow cakers, this is a dummy cake. I just completed a 4 week course at CW cakes in Melb, Australia and our teacher Mel designed the cake. It was lots of fun to make, and i would attempt it in cake. The teacher recommended only doing the drawers and cake in cake, but i think it could be done with the right support. I wouldn't want to deliver it though!! I had to get a friend to bring it home for me cos it wouldn't fit in my car - it stands at 84cms tall. I would love someone to order from me though!
It looks overly sweet. I'm probably not a fan of this much sweetness, but I'm sure there are many sweet tooths who would be thrilled to get a cake like this. I'm more for salty, sour, spicy flavors, and besides hot smoked salmon pate is one of my favorites at gourmetfoodstore.com. At Gourmet food store, I often find something interesting that will bring variety to my usual diet.
