I get asked to do a lot of kids’ cakes so this was a wonderful opportunity to do a more grownup cake and try out this giftbox style of cake and the always trendy “shabby chic” style. It was for my niece’s birthday so I took free reign to do something I’d never tried before.

My first attempt at a big accent flower. A ton of improvement needed but I learned a lot from having tried!
