My cousin requested a three tier cake with buttercream icing, with a "falling petal" look, with the petals in a pale pink. The petals and roses are gum paste, the icing is Swiss Meringue Buttrcream. The icing design was a last minute idea that turned out pretty well--and the randomly attached petals covered up a few rough spots! All in attendance thought the cake tasted good and looked pretty good. My 3rd wedding cake, first in buttercream.
