My Sister's Birthday Cake

This is a White Almond Sour Cream Cake, iced with buttercream and filled with a mixture of buttercream and pureed apricot preserves. I brushed the layers with Grand Marnier prior to frosting. Edible image message. Fondant plaques with edible image floral sprays. Molded sugar vase. Gumpaste flowers. White chocolate plaques and pearls.
This is an awesome cake. You have taught me a new way to use my edible images. Hope you don't mind I would like to use some of your ideas on this cake....this is beautiful.....it has to go into my favorites

Thank loads! I really loved doing this cake. Plus, I got to practice a lot of different techniques. I had never even molded chocolate before, if you can believe that! Yes...impression mat on the sides. I let it crust overnight before applying the mat. Worked very well.
