This was the Wonderful Wizard of Oz Cake. Dorothy and friends were all made out of modeling chocolate. It was my first time making characters and using modeling chocolate. I also hand painted the characters and all of the background on the cake is hand painted on fondant. The flowers on the cupcakes were made out of fondant and I hand painted those as well. You can't see it in the picture, but the writing along the yellow brick road says Lions & Tigers & Baby, Oh My! My sister loved this cake, but it was definitely a test for me. This is only my third cake and I know I have some issues I need to work on.
