Wilton Course 3 Present Cake
This is my Course 3 Present cake...learned alot of lessons about fondant with this cake. For instance - I didn't realize that you can leave "water spots" on fondant when applying small pieces to your cake. Also, I must learn to roll out the fondant alot thinner for a more realistic looking bow/ribbon. I never wanted to do fondant and now I am a huge fan!
Really cool -- I like the color combo and the little "twirlies ribbons" in the bow are great
Great cake! And your corners are great! I like that you used the thin brown stripe over the pink ribbon :) For even strips, I swear by Wilton's Perfect Height Rolling pin. It has 1/8inch rings you slide on either end, and viola!, even and thin strips of fondant every time :) It's really inexpensive but a real lifesaver :)
Great cake!!!!!!
