Dora Cake For Niece's 2Nd Birthday
I tried making fondant but screwed up and that went in the garbage - so I made a whipped topping for the pink and the yellow is creamcheese - bottom layer carrot cake, middle the recipe from this site 3d durable wedding cake and the top is the same except I used chocolate pudding in recipe. I was disappointed with the turnout...I try so hard, but think I need lessons.
Lessons wouldn't hurt anyone, but I do think you did a great job!!!! If you're unhappy with the final result, just practice more-you'll get better!!

Yeah, making fondant is really tough. I had to do it for my Advanced Pastry class in college, and it was nothing more than a big mess! :) I would buy the Wilton kind. But I think this came out so cute!!!

Thanks, I did use the Wilton fondant before, alot easier than making it - doesn't taste that great tho. What I Need is a dummy cake to practice doing different things.
