I cut round cakes in half and stacked them against each other(using buttercream icing to stick them together).I used smaller round cakes cut in half and staggered down to get the smaller/tapering down effect.I used icing to fill in between the cakes and then used a round tip (11) make all the beads on the armadillo. The ears are ice cream cones (the brown sugar kind) that I cut. If I had to do the ears again, I'd do them in a fondant or find something else I could cut that would have been a bit easier.
