Very First Wedding Cake!

...ok ok, so I know its not as good as many of you, but not bad for a first timer! I was too scared to do a 3 tier after reading some horror stories, but I wish I had. Its pound cake with marshmallow fondant, fondant roses and buttercream in between the layers. The pictures posted here make it seem so easy...then I try and do it myself, its like, crackamoly, how the heck they do that!?!? I struggled quite a bit with the swags (obviously). I wish'd they looked better but, it is a 'free' cake...;-)

heck yah you should be proud. This is a lovely cake. The roses and swags look good from here and the topper just flows in with everything else.

WOW!!!!! I can't believe you are not STILL patting yourself on the back for this one. If this was your first, I can't wait to see the next ones.

Amazing!!!! I wish I could also make a cake like this. From the photo, it looks very big what cake pan size did you used?.. Keep it up!

For those who didn't see the first pic...its just country pound cake ( recipe from this website) marshmallow fondant (recipe from this website), and buttercream frosting (recipe from this website), 3 layers of cake in each tier, my very first fondant rolled roses and swags(ugh! They were a bugger!).

Beautiful cake. The color matched perfectly with the napkins, flowers, etc. You also did great with the height--definitely impressive.
