Crabpot Cake

Crabpot Cake on Cake Central

This is for a Chesapeake Bay waterman's 40th birthday. The cake is a 6 inch cube ( I used three 2inch layers). I covered in buttercream icing and then airbrushed shades of green and blue. The actual crabpot "wire" is made from Sugarveil and airbrushed silver. I printed off a template and piped 6x6 squares on greased parchment paper. The crabs are fondant and luster dusted. The shells are candy melts and painted with luster dust mixed with vodka.

Thank you! I did this for a friend's birthday so I didn't charge her at all. It was a 6" square cake so if I were going to charge, in my area I would probably ask $60.
