My daughter loves owls, so I made a 3d carved owl cake for her graduation party. The bottom 4 layers were dark chocolate cake and the top 4 layers were buttermilk yellow cake. All the layers had whipped caramel dark chocolate ganache filling. The outside was frosted with a caramel coffee buttermilk frosting covered with marshmallo fondant. It was quite delicious! You can't really tell from the picture, but the cake was about 2 feet tall.
