This cake was for my grandparents' 60 Anniversary! I wanted it to be really special since they didn't have a wedding cake when they actually got married. I made the flowers to look like the hat my grandmother wore at the wedding. She recognized them right off! All the cake is white almond cake with a fine crumb. The top tier is filled with lemon curd and the bottom with caramel-all covered in buttercream with fondant flowers. This was also my first time using Susan's instructions from the sugarshack dvd. I know I still have a lot more practice to work on, but I was happy with how much better my edges looked!! Thanks so much!
