Here is the cake I made for my husband superbowl 2012 party. This is a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache covered with fondant. All details are fondant. I am happy with the result of the leather on the ball. I made it with fabric that I embossed on the fondant before I put it on the cake. I then luster the fondant with vodka, so it gives the leather effect. The logos of the Patriots and the Giants were hand cut with and exacto knife.
