Rehearsal dinner cake... 6" and 8" round tier cake. Top is red velvet with cream cheese filling. Bottom is White Velvet cake (thanks JSKConfections) with fresh strawberries. Iced in buttercream with black scroll work. Stripe is fondant. Red roses are a fondant/gumpaste mixture. then I used red color dust to take the shine off. Thanks to costumeczar for the points to make the roses! Covered the cake base in a thin layer of fondant and the trimmed it with red ribbon.
