She loves dragons, so I surprised her with this. It is chocolate in 3 layers then carved down to shape. I used marshmallow treats to shape the feet, tail and head. All fondant for scales and detail. Sugar tinted for sand. Wings made from fondant and dried several days prior. This is the first time I have ever made a 3D cake, or dragon, or used fondant. I don't do cakes often, I just like to create once in a while and challenge myself. My friend liked it so much that she wanted a pink dragon for her bday. so, I will enter that one as well. thanks. this is fun to share.
