I tried to do my son a Pilchard the cat (from Bob the Builder) cake for his 4th birthday. Its just plain sponge, with jam in the middle. Quite dissapointed with this. We've just had a bereavement in the family, and it was hard for me to make a cake at all! My son knew it was Pilchard though! I'm quite aware the words are too close together!
