I made this cake for my wonderful daughter's 27th birthday. She wanted a cake with "some fruit in it", so I made it a rainbow of fresh fruit inside. It's a 6" round white cake, with buttercream icing, and each layer was colored with gel food coloring. The red layer had red raspberries, orange had peaches, yellow had pinapple, green had kiwi, blue had blueberries, and the purple layer had purple raspberries. It turned out very moist, and yummy! The whole cake was 7" tall, and covered in homemade marshmallow fondant. 27 gumpaste butterflies, one for each year.
