I had intended for this to be a hamburger cake! Miss Marcella gets up every morning, at 5:30 am to be to work by 6:30. SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! She works in the local burger joint doing prep work for lunch. She is a wonderful role model and never complains and never has a bad day. Everyone in Hatteras Village just calls her 'Grandma'. She has adopted me too! She's great.! This puppy was a huge cake. I had intended to make a 10 inch burger cake. So.... it has a 2 -2 inch layers of vanilla and 1 - 2 inch layer of chocolate cake. I split the layers and alternated them. I filled the cake with seedless raspberry preserves and everything else is buttercream. The finished product was 10 inches around and 6 inches tall!
