Made for my 73 year old mother. This design was modified using a shoebox design. The cake is a 10 inch square triple fudge cake, torted, filled and iced with chocolate buttercream. The four side panels of the box are made from white gumpaste and covered them with the Wilton transfer sheets (damask pattern). The box lid was made from black fondant (gumpaste would have been better), and the bow and gift tags are white fondant. The chocolates are four different flavored cake balls. I placed a piece of cake board on top of the iced square cake, then placed the chocolates on the that...the box lid then fit nicely over the box and was lifted off to reveal the chocolates inside the box.
