My brother never got to have a wedding, so when we had a party in honor of my mother in 2010, I made a little cake celebrating their union as well. The gumpaste butterflies are the Virginia Swallowtail and the Colorado Hairstreak, official state insects, representing my brother from Virginia and his wife from Colorado.
