Tatty Teddy Cake
heres a cake done in the same style as my horse cake, except the buyer requested chocolate buttons instead of smarties!...i think i could have done better as it was a little rushed.

I love the way your cakes seem to have something popping out of the top. Looks really festive that way.
very very cute
I can't help with the crack!!!! but the teddy is adorable!
I think its all adorable! fantastic work!
Love the cake. Cracks and all.
I lurve tatty teddy! Very nice work. Gorgeous cake.
Beautiful!
Very cute!
It's wonderful! I think the cracks give the teddy bear character!
I think the cracks adds to the tattered look to the teddy. It's very cute!! You might want to try heating the MMF ball just a bit in the microwave then roll the ball shape around again. I think that might help. You did a excellent job!!
He's so cute!! as for the crack...just as denise said...put it in the microwave to soften it up a bit but BE CAREFUL when you remove it...I ended up with 2nd degree burns from it once! Only put it in for a few seconds at a time!
I absolutely love the bear! And I also agree with Mousey & Denise the cracks give it character. You did a great job!
How cute!!
This is a beautiful cake, your teddy is just adorable. Great job even with the crack it gives him character.

awww thanks alot for the comments....i never knew heating icing up could get rid of them!!! thanks again
I find the best way to keep fondant figures smooth is to make sure that I rub the fondant in my hands for a while. When making a teddy's body like yours. take the paste and roll it into a ball in your hand first for a minute or so, you'll notice the heat from your hands will smooth it out and also give it a nice shine
o thanks......im just in the middle of trying to make a spiderman....so i'll give it a try ;)
