This cake was designed by my 13 & 14 year old nieces for our annual family Christmas party. All the figures & sledding items are made out of gum paste and designed to represent all their 2nd cousins and themselves. The sledding hill is molded from rice krispies and covered with icing. The ice pond is made from unflavored gelatin with a slight tint of blue food coloring. The entire cake is sprinkled with edible candy prisms for shimmering snow. These girls are already great cake decorators.
