Holly Cake

This was an 8" round dummy cake I decorated (didn't want to do a real one since I've been sick!) Started by covering the cake with dark green fondant, then added yellow fondant scrolls to the base which I painted with gold luster dust/lemon flavoring. Tried fondant swags for the first time - pretty pleased with how they turned out - painted those with gold luster dust as well. Accented the swags with green holly leaves and red holly berries. Cut out some red ornaments for the top of the cake and accented those with more holly leaves and berries. Not what I had in mind at all when I started on this cake, but all in all I liked the way it turned out! TFL! :)
