This was my daughter's 5th birthday cake.... I started with a 10" white cake on the bottom, frosted white with buttercream icing. I piped tip #3 pink swirls around the sides and # 18 red rosettes on the border and I piped tip #4 red strawberries with tip #2 green seeds & tip #352 green leaves and rolled out a piece of white fondant a little bigger than bottom size (so that it would hang over edges) and placed it over the bottom layer. I placed top layer on and frosted it white and piped tip #48 green, pink, red alternating lines around sides and piped strawberries (repeat as bottom layer but up higher.) Again I rolled out a piece of white fondant a little bigger so it would hang off sides and finished with tip #3 lettering on top.
