Budweiser Beer Bottle Cake
I used a Chocolate Box Mix mixed with a Pound Cake Mix to make the cake nice and dense to stand up well. Baked in a huge chicken stock can and an asparagus can to assist with shape. Covered in Buttercream and Fondant, the foam at the top is melted Marshmallows w/ a Little Butter. I used Luster Dust to make it look more glassy. I used Edible Markers to hand draw the labels. I wasn't thrilled with the labels but a lesson learned for next time :)
Oh my gosh, this is so cool. Job well done.
Excellent!!!!! Label by hand??? It rocks! The whole cake does :)
What do you mean you weren't happy? This cake kicks butt!!!!
that's so cool! great job, and your lables rock!
Thanks everyone! I always am my worst critic :) I mainly wasn't happy w/ the color of the blue, I wish it was darker like the real label. And I rolled that portion of the fondant too thin... you can see the darker areas where I wet it to make it stick. Ahh oh well, you're right it does KICK BUTT LOL! :)
did you line your can with anything ? is there a certain type of can that can be used/
I used parchment paper inside the cans... just around the sides, not on the bottom. Surprisingly those cans are pretty non-stick. Just a little cooking spray on the bottom should do the trick :)
