Saskatchewan Rough Riders Cap

I followed the instructions in confetti cakes. Carved chocolate cake covered in fondant. Gumpaste fondant brim. Hand painted logo. When I dried out the brim I rounded it just a bit too much, so when I tried to attach it to the cake I had to flatten it a little which caused it to start to crack. I will keep this in mind next time I do a cap cake. Thanks for looking.
