We did this cake for a surprise 40th Birthday party. We wanted to create something classy that would still tie in with the decorations which includes the colors purple, black and turquoise. It's a 10" vanilla cake with strawberry preserves filling. The frosting is strawberry buttercream. Decorations are buttercream, fondant and gumpaste.
