My first firetruck cake! Thanks to all you CC users who have tried this before me! Using a 12x18x2 in. pan, I trimmed off the edges and cut 3 equal pieces that were 12x5.5, and stacked them to create the firetruck base on the same size cake board. I then carved out the middle section and applied the red fondant (homemade for the first time!) I made the details and applied everything except the tires & ladders the night before. I applied those just before delivery. It is a vanilla cake covered in vanilla fondant. Challenging but successful I think!
