Betsey Johnson Pump And Shoe Box

I took this order (at a very low price) because of the challenge the shoe presented, and i am proud of how it came out. A guy ordered it for his fiancée for their engagement party. She is a shoe buyer for Lord & Taylor and she likes the funky designs of Betsey Johnson. I started the shoe a week before its due date in order to let the base and the heel really really dry. I added photos of the shoe process so you can see how the stages o the shoe where broken up. I actually took on of my very old and cheap ($7) shoes and ripped them apart. Then sterilized best i could and used it to create my shoe template. I used the sole of the shoe as the resting place to dry the base (sole) of the shoe. This worked better than cutting out a support structure out of paper etc... In the future, i will be visiting a discount shoe store to find a super marked down shoe in a size 6 or 7. I used my shoe, which is a size 9, and that just used up soooo much more material, i feel its almost wasteful. The cake itself is white cake with espresso butter cream filling. The white cake recipe was from here on CC. I'm not sure if i like it. The Lord and Taylor gift card is gumpaste with food coloring painting. The logo on top of the shoe box was also made from a template i cut out. I find doing this is soo much easier than free handing it. I freehanded the logo on the inside of the shoe only since i couldn't make one so small. TFL.
